Local seafood restaurant Deanie’s Seafood will be taking over the two-story Irish Channel/Lower Garden district space at the corner of Magazine and Jackson that previously housedCharcoal’s Gourmet Burger Bar, according to The Advocate.

The new location at 2200 Magazine St. will serve the boiled seafood staples that Deanie’s is known for, including an Oyster bar.

The restaurant will open in December and seat more than 200 people.

The property was on the market for months, with Bobby Talbot of Talbot Realty and Greg Riera of Jones Lang LaSalle as the listing agent.  The last listing we found was a for-sale listing with a price tag of $2,075,000.
