The lawsuit filed by the would-be World Trade Center developers against the city is proceeding as planned, and is now scheduled for a trial in October.

New Orleans Civil District Court Judge  Tiffany Chase  has scheduled the trial for October 24th, 2016 between Two Canal Street Investors, who accused the city from running an unfair and biased process to award the bid to redevelop the building.

A win by Two Canal Street Investors may result in a termination of the 99 year lease between the city and the Four Seasons development group, which would also mandate that the city restart the process of choosing a developer.

The Four Seasons team, led by Carpenter & Co., says that their planned $360 million development will still move forward and break ground notwithstanding the lawsuit.
