Major Real Estate Forum Hosted Today At Loyola University

Today, October 10, the 7th Annual Economic and Real Estate Forecast Symposium will take place at Loyola University.

The Symposium is being put on by the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (NOMAR), Commercial Investment Divison of the New Orleans Metropolitan Assocation of REALTORS® (CID), and Loyola University. This year’s theme is “New Perspectives on the Changing Economy”.

The Symposium will examine how the political and economic environment will impact real estate and business today, and share views on what lies ahead.  Panel discussions will include a variety of topics such as: The Economy of Real Estate, Forecast for America; Real Estate Round Table, Cycles and Commentary on Cap Rates,Developing Trend Line for Sales and Rentals, The Rhythm on the Metro Market; New Orleans Today, Who Lives Here; Economic Development, Drivers for the New Economy; and Banking and Finance, Lending Within the Dodd Frank Eco-System.

Last year’s conference was a big hit, with over 400 real estate professionals in attendance.  Featured speakers for this year’s conference include Dr. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research of the National Association of REALTORS®; Jessica Dill, Analyst, Center for Real Estate Analytics, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; Rick Haase, President of Latter and Blum Companies; Dr. Wade Ragas, PhD, MAI, Real Property Associates; Robert Edgecombe, AICP; Jeff Anding, CMP, Vice President of External Affairs New Orleans CVB; Chris Bonura, Director of Real Estate, Port of New Orleans; Guy Williams, President of Gulf Coast Bank; and Alton McRee, Chief Executive Officer and President of Fidelity Bank.

The conference will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a networking reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Loyola University, Roussel Hall.  Tickets are available online, www.nomar.org.
