Meet The 2017 AIA New Orleans Architecture Award Winners

Each year, the New Orleans chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) nominates, votes on, and awards architects for excellence in design.  The AIA held their 2017 award ceremony last week at the WWII Museum.

The awards are given to New Orleans-based architects, irrespective of whether the project is in New Orleans or elsewhere.  This year crowned 12 winners, which you can read about below.  Congrats to all the winners!

  • Awards for Louisiana Excellence In Sustainability Honorable Mention from the US Green Building Council and Historic Preservation; and Restoration and Adaptive Re-use Architecture Honorable Mention Award from the AIA New Orleans
  • Architect of Record: Small Center for Collaborative Design
  • General Contractor:  William Slattery  Appropriate Technology
