A few weeks ago we brought you the full design plans for the redevelopment of the former Frank’s Steakhouse complex at 4525 Freret, now known as Faubourg Freret.

The new mixed use development will feature 13,300+ SF of ground floor retail space and 30+ apartments on upper floors. The development will include the redevelopment of historic structures as well as new construction.

Now our friends at Uptown Messenger have a bit more information on the tenants that will be going in the space.  While exact names have yet to be revealed,Uptown Messenger reports that the tenant make up will include a yogurt shop, a wine bar that serves food, a juice bar and professional offices.

According to the Uptown Messenger article, the commercial portion is about 70% leased.   Ben Jacobson and Casey Burka with Corporate Realty are the brokers for the developer.

You can read our previous articles on the development and demolitions here, here and here.

Uptown Messenger has the rest of the details on the update, including neighborhood concerns about density, which you can read here.
