Last week, a developer’s plan to build a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Magazine Street and Louisiana Avenue moved forward with the City Planning Commission’s approval of a conditional use request.
The developers were seeking to combine separate lots/retail in a strip mall at that corner, reports Uptown Messenger.
The development still faces significant neighborhood opposition, with many residents against yet another chain pharmacy on Magazine Street.
The project next goes to the City Council for final approval.
