Developer The Fitz Hotel Group announced that their renovation of an 1860’s Greek Revival double will open February 1 as the Henry Howard Hotel.
The boutique hotel has 11,000 square feet and includes 18 rooms and a bar. All rooms have a curated mix of vintage and custom furniture, local original artwork, complimentary WiFi, premium TV channels, gourmet snacks, hanging storage, and Beekman 1802 toiletries.
Hunter Mabry Design out of New York handled the design, and the rooms include art by New Orleans artist Hayley Gaberlavage. From what we can tell, the design looks fresh and inspiring.
The property, located at 2041 Prytania Street, was on the market in 2013 with a listing price of $2.85 million. According to documents filed with the city, the renovation costs were roughly $300,000.
