Local developer Stirling Properties has announced the addition of a new 45,000-square-foot Class A office building at its River Chase development in Covington, La.

River Chase is a 253-acre development located on the southeast corner of Interstate 12 and Louisiana Highway 21.  The project currently includes a large shopping center and has evolved in to a master planned, mixed use development with over $60 million in public-private infrastructure site improvements.

The new project is a two-story office building, and space is available ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 square feet per floor. Built with “state of the art construction”, the building will be LEED certifiable by the U.S. Green Building Council standards.  Stirling Properties is asking $20/square foot for rent, and the space should be available next April.

Current tenants at River Chase include Target, JC Penney, Belk Department Store, Regal Cinemas, Holiday Inn Express, Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, and 500 apartments.

According to a leasing flyer, a Phase II is planned that would add another 1,000,000 square feet of Class A office space.

Wakefield, Beasley, and Associates is the architect of record and Greenleaf Architects is the interior designer.
