Ochsner Medical Facility To Be Built At Site of Former Gentilly Shopping Center

Earlier this week, developer Kenny Lobell received approval from the City Planning Commission for a conditional-use permit to build a 50,000-square-foot medical facility at 1532 Robert E. Lee Boulevard.  The location is the site of the former Lake Terrace Shopping Center in Gentilly.

The new facility will be managed by Ochsner, consist of three stories, and feature doctor’s offices, a drive-thru pharmacy, an urgent care clinic, an imaging center and retail space.  114 parking spaces will also be included.

Lobell’s previous projects in residential developments and condo developments, including the condo conversion at Jax Brewery.

Verges Rome Architects is the architect.  The project is expected to be complete in 2018.
