Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with Emeril Lagasse’s restaurant group to anchor the dining experience at the upcoming Fairmont New Orleans hotel, with a targeted opening in fall 2026. This collaboration marks a significant re-entry of a global luxury brand in the French Quarter area and demonstrates renewed private investment in the local hospitality market.

The new hotel will be situated in the historic former Bank of New Orleans building, near the French Quarter in downtown New Orleans. As part of this development, the Emeril Group will operate Delmonico Steakhouse and a Café by Emeril, envisioned as the signature food and beverage venues for the site. These establishments will feature prime cuts with in-house dry-aging techniques.

The reopening of the Fairmont New Orleans signifies a notable private-sector redevelopment, with luxury amenities including a lounge, a rooftop bar, and a speakeasy. While specific financial details such as purchase price or lease terms remain undisclosed, the project underscores investor confidence in New Orleans’ vibrant hospitality sector.

By anchoring the hotel with a renowned culinary name, Fairmont seeks to enhance its asset’s repositioning value and boost food and beverage revenues. This move also implies potential positive impacts on neighboring hotel room rates and downtown hospitality demand as the area continues to develop.

As the hotel anticipates its fall 2026 debut, the partnership not only strengthens the hotel’s market position but also promises to generate numerous hospitality jobs and contractor opportunities during the final buildout and pre-opening phases.
