The New Orleans Bioinnovation Center (NOBIC) on Canal Street has landed two new tenants, Stone Surgical, LLC and LouisianaBio.

NOBIC is a non-profit technology business incubator created to foster entrepreneurship within the New Orleans bioscience community.  The center offers office space, business assistance, commercialization of technologies, and even runs their own investment fund.

Tenant and client companies include startups developing medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics, digital health platforms, clean technologies, and more.

Stone Surgical LLC handles diagnostics testing for parent company RenaissanceRX.  The company also sells medical device implants in the neuro/spine/orthopedic market space and has plans to expand into stem cells.

LouisianaBio is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to the promotion and growth of the bioscience industry throughout the state, and to showcasing Louisiana as a premier location for bioscience research, education and industry. LouisianaBio fosters collaboration and interaction among researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and institutions across the state.

The NOBIC building includes approximately 70,000 square feet of space consisting of wet labs, incubators, offices, retail and 60 parking spots.  It was designed by Eskew + Dumez + Ripple architects.
