Last month a permit was applied for to convert two buildings at 326 and 330 Camp Street. The two buildings are actually interconnected and date back to the 1850s, one of them being the original headquarters for the Times Picayune Newspaper.

Permit description:

“Conversion of a vacant commercial building to a 9 unit apartment, with future commercial tenant on the first floor, as per plans.” While it says its only 9 units, the architectural plans seem to indicate that there are actually 12 units. So not sure which is correct!

*Architect on the project is Terrell-Fabacher Architects.

*Owner is CBD Camp Holdings LLC.

*Estimated construction cost is $2,000,000.
