The fast food chicken franchise Raising Cane’s will open a new store at 3235 S Carrollton Ave., the site of a former KFC fast food restaurant.

Raising Cane’s got approval from the City Planning Commission last month for certain upgrades to the existing building, including alterations to the building’s facade, new signage, and additional landscaping.

On March 17, Raising Cane’s filed a building permit request for the site to begin renovations.

The 2,426 square foot restaurant sits on a 15,000 square foot lot and already provides 13 off street parking spaces, which exceeds the minimum requirements for restaurants in the C-1 district.
