Developer and real estate investor Tom Winingder’s plan to build a mixed-use building in the lower garden district was unanimously approved by the City Planning Commission Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

The development will feature 36 residential units, 4,100 square feet of retail space and 54 parking spaces for a total of 52,000 square feet.  The vacant land is made up of seven separate lots.  The Commission’s approval involved combining all seven lots into one for the development.

This is the same plot of land that developer Brian Gibbs unsuccessfully tried to develop into a mixed-use property several years before.  Gibbs sold to Winingder for $1 million in 2013.

Winingder is also the developer of the $8 million St. Anna’s Residence apartments.

Studio WTA Architects is the architect on the project.
