The St. Peter & Paul Church complex in the Marigny got New Orleans City Cuuncil approval for a zoning change last week, just weeks after developers got the same nod from the City Planning Commission.

The developers, Nathalie Jordi and Ari Heckman, have plans to turn the church complex into a 71 key boutique hotel.

The church complex at 2317 Burgundy St., was closed by the Archdiocese of New Orleans several years back and sold to New Orleans attorney and real estate developer Blake Jones in 2012.
