The property at the corner of S. Claiborne and Toledano may be in for a change: a new furniture store. The site is a former Taco Bell location and currently houses the Little Korea Restaurant.
Applications were filed with the City on March 11, 2016 to demolish the current building and construct a new building. The demolition application filed by Joshua Smith states that the “demolition of existing building and parking lot to prepare lot for new building, parking lot, and site improvements.” The application for a new construction permit, also filed by Smith, states that the purpose is to “construct a retail furniture store, parking lot, and site improvements as per plans. Signs require a separate permit.”
The property has great visibility along Claiborne with 180 feet of frontage and a prime corner location.
The building and land has been listed for lease for months and is being marketed by Bill Soniat of Soniat Realty. The owners were asking for $36.60/square foot triple net. The listing now says that a lease is pending.
The building is 2,128 square feet, and the lot is roughly 21,000 square feet. More info coming soon…
