The lot where the tiny house is being built. Photo via google maps.
Tiny Homes have been sweeping the nation, and it looks like the trend is finally taking room in New Orleans.
A home in the 3100 block of St. Thomas street thats just under 1000 square feet just broke ground. The Irish Channel house is only 9 and a half feet wide, and packs in a one bed one and a half bath.
WWLTV reports that the tiny house craze is just getting started in New Orleans. There are thousands of lots that would make sense for tiny houses, and the development team is looking at doing more tiny houses in neighborhoods like the Marigny and the Bywater.
Jonathan Tate is the archtect and Charles Rutledge is the developer.
