Before leaving office this week, the Landrieu Administration released several new design ideas for Lee Circle.  Landrieu commissioned the designs to provide visuals for what a new “Tivoli Circle” might look like with the statute of Robert E. Lee.

New Orleans-based landscape architecture form Spackman Mossop and Michaels created the renderings.

The ideas vary quite a bit, with some calling for the demolition of the statute column and base, the addition of a fountain and interactive water feature, and more than 70 new trees.

Check out the renderings below, and you can find more details over at nola.com.
