The proposed “Lakeview Medical Clinic”, a new medical office building to be built at 5243 Canal Boulevard, has been recommended for approval by the City Planning Commission staff, according to Midcity Messenger.

Plans call for a 22,000 square foot office building with retail and a pharmacy.  Because the project is larger than 5,000 square feet, the developers need a conditional use from the city.  The office building will consist of 24 medical exam rooms, the pharmacy will be 3,400 square feet, and the site will have 27 parking spaces.

The project is being developed by developers Patrick Russo and John Stewart, and designed by Greenleaf Lawson Architects.

The City Planning Commission will vote on the project in June.  If the developers receive approval then, the conditional use request goes to the City Council for final approval.
