Construction began last week on a new 88-room hotel at Fremaux Park, a mixed-use development surrounding Slidell’s Fremaux Town Center.
The Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel is projected to open at the end of 2020, according to Q Hotels and Stirling Properties.
Q Hotels, a hospitality development and management company based in LaPlace, is the developer behind the new Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel project. Q Hotels purchased the 1.87-acre parcel of land where the hotel will be constructed. The site will eventually house the 57,000 square foot, four-story hotel.
Velocity Builders is the contractor and developer of the project. Q Hotel Management, which owns and operates 12 hotels, will manage the hotel.
Stirling Properties is the master developer of Fremaux.
