The City Planning Commission on Tuesday approved a conditional use permit for construction of the six-story building at 1200 Poydras St. that will house the 40,000 sf Dave & Busters.

The building also includes 18,000 square feet of retail and a 393-space parking garage, for a total of 264,000 square feet.  200 garage spaces are reserved parking for Dave & Busters, 31 for the ground floor retail and 162 spots for sale.

Designs for the project are from HC Architecture of Atlanta and NOLA- based Scairono Martinez Architects.

You can check out all the designs, renderings, and plans here.

The development is being led by Christopher Robertson, who also owns the neighboring Hyatt, Entergy office building, and 1250 Poydras office tower, where they are currently developing a Hyatt House Hotel.

The project still requires City Council approval. The development is expected to be voted on next month.
