The Patterson, a historic 1930s estate at 3819 Patterson Dr. in Algiers, is reopening as a 540-guest riverfront event venue. This transformation marks an important private-sector adaptive-reuse project, turning a long-vacant, government-owned campus into a bustling site for events and overnight accommodations. The venue is set to open its doors in June 2026.

Co-owners Lindsey and Joel Snodgrass have led the restoration effort, which spans nearly four acres of riverfront property. The site includes seven restored 1930s buildings, with two main event halls capable of accommodating 540 guests. The estate also offers overnight lodging in the Carriage House, providing accommodations for up to 20 guests.

The Patterson’s opening introduces a significant addition to New Orleans’ hospitality landscape, particularly impacting Algiers and riverfront tourism.
