Loop Linen Service, a storied textile rental company, has begun construction on a new 62,000-square-foot commercial laundry facility in Avondale as of June 24. The project represents a significant private-sector expansion, aiming to retain 125 existing jobs with a total investment of $25.1 million, backed by local and state financial assistance.

The construction cost for the building itself amounts to $16.4 million, while the total project investment reaches $25.1 million. Financial backing comes from Bonvenu Bank in partnership with Regional Loan Corporation through an SBA loan. JEDCO was instrumental in securing a $500,000 EDAP infrastructure grant, alongside a $350,000 grant from Jefferson Parish.

Woodward Design + Build is overseeing the construction, with Pellerin Milnor supplying the necessary laundry equipment. The new facility will replace the current operations based in Westwego and is expected to be operational approximately 16 months from the groundbreaking date.

Situated near the US-90 and LA-18 intersection, the Avondale location plays a key role in the area’s industrial corridor. This development is crucial for the local economy, offering modern facilities that help meet the demand from hospitality and foodservice sectors.

Loop Linen’s Avondale facility exemplifies a blend of public and private investments, showcasing how diverse financing sources and governmental support can fuel industrial growth. The project’s completion is slated for late 2027, marking a significant milestone in Jefferson Parish’s economic landscape.
