BioScrip Opens New 15,000 Square Foot Infusion Center

BioScrip Infusion Services Inc., formerly known as CarePoint Partners, has opened a new facility at 5401 Jefferson Highway.

The new facility includes a sterile compounding pharmacy and innovative treatment center, including the recent introduction of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line placement in the New Orleans market. As an infusion services provider, BioScrip administers life sustaining medicine through anti-infective therapy, cardiac care, nutrition support, immunoglobulin therapy, transplant care and hemophilia care.

The location is the tenth location for BioScrip, including locations in New Orleans, Covington, Hammond, Lafayette, Houma, Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.

The new 15,000-square-foot facility will have 44 full-time employees. The company spent over $1 million upgrading the new facility according to a company spokesperson. Rebecca Treuting was the architect and R&M Construction of LA., Inc. was the general contractor
