Campus Federal Credit Union has proposed to build a new building at the corner of Tulane Avenue and Galvez Street. Plans call for a three-story, 16,050 square foot building with the credit union on the ground floor and tenant office space above.
The credit union would have front pedestrian access on Tulane Avenue and its vehicular entry and drive through exit is on Galvez Street. The current site is vacant. If approval is granted, plans call for construction to start within a month of approval. The work should take a year.
The credit union needs a Zoning Variance to reduce the parking requirement from 39 spaces to 31. Before they can submit to the Board of Zoning Adjustments, the credit union is required to have a community meeting to inform neighbors of their plans.
CSB got an email notifying us that the meeting will take place during the New City Partnership neighborhood association meeting on Monday, February 24th, 2014 at 5:30pm – 6:00pm at the site 2200 Tulane Avenue (corner of Galvez Street and Tulane Avenue). Go check it out!
