Stirling Properties continues to make progress on its new Fremaux Town Center shopping center in Slidell, Louisiana.
Exterior color finishes are being added to the buildings and the Shopping Center’s pylon is rising from its base. The parking field is defined with asphalt, and the lot lighting and landscaping are being installed. The interior work on the specific tenant build-out requirements is taking shape and several tenant contractors will be on site starting in late December.
The developer expects for a March 2014 grand opening for Phase I with the majority of tenants opening by that time.
So far in the 295,000 square foot building for Phase I, Stirling has secured major anchor stores that feature Kohl’s with a 55,000 square foot site and Dick’s Sporting Goods with a 45,000 square foot facility. Other top anchor stores are Best Buy, Michael’s and T.J. Maxx.
Dillard’s is committed to Phase II as the major anchor tenant, which is currently planned to be even bigger than Phase I, with 320,000 square feet of additional retail space. Opening for that phase is not until Spring 2015.
