Developer Peter Gardner plans to demolish the former medical center at 2500 Louisiana Avenue and build a new dialysis clinic at the site.
Plans submitted with the demolition request by Charles Watkins of OGA Acquisitions in Nashville, Tennessee, state that the 8,500-square-foot building will be replaced with a new dialysis clinic.
The Neighborhood Conservation District Advisory Committee considered the demolition request last week, and voted unanimously in favor of recommending the demolition. The demo, along with the conditional use to allow for the dialysis clinic, will both require final approval by the City Council.
In addition to all the residential developments Gardner has renovated, he’s completed some great commercial projects in the last ten years, including 4600 Freret, which houses the original Company Burger, and 1029 O.C. Haley, which houses Brady’s Wine Warehouse, Equip Fitness, and Papa Johns.
