Liberty Bank and Trust is getting into the development game, reports CityBusiness.
The New Orleans-based bank has plans for a new $1 million building at 3002 Gentilly Blvd. that will include three 1,500-square-foot retail bays and a new Liberty Bank branch.
Consultants and Builders Inc. of Norcross, Ga., is leading the design. The bank is still vetting bids for the construction.
Liberty Bank also plans to renovate its branch at Canal and Broad streets to add shops and kiosks as well as room for a café or restaurant.
The Gentilly branch project is one of three in Liberty’s pipeline. The bank has two more planned in Chicago and Kansas City.
