An all new and unique wellness center unlike anything New Orleans currently has is slated for the Lower Garden District.

The old Norwegian Scandinavian Jazz Church at 1772 Prytania Street will be transformed into the Santosa Center for Healthy Living by three sisters, Diana Fisher, Deborah Peters and Kendall Winingder.

Santosa will feature yoga classes, two gyms, meditation and water aerobics, dance classes complete with pool, a kitchen facility for juices, and apartments and office space for health professionals.

The sisters presented to the neighbors this week as part of the city’s Neighborhood Participation Process, and the proposal was very well received. They are seeking a zoning change from HU-RD2, a residential zoning, to HU-MU, a commercial zoning.

Bell Butler Design and Architecture is the architect.
