Last year, the Domain Companies announced plans to add a hotel to the growing downtown neighborhood. They purchased the old Max Barnett Furniture Store at 600 Carondelet Street for $5.5 million. Plans released show a complete overhaul of the existing 9 story structure as well as the adjacent one story building. Additional improvements include the construction of a 4 story addition on the adjacent surface parking lot. As shown in the pictures below there will be street level retail and new restaurants/lounges included. While nothing official has been announced yet, word on the street is that this will be an outpost of the ACE Hotel Chain. Check below for all of the renderings!
