The Omni Royal Orleans in the French Quarter has reopened its renovated La Riviera Rooftop and Pool Bar, marking the latest phase of a comprehensive two-year renovation. Located at 621 St. Louis Street, the rooftop now offers guests and the public day passes and cabana rentals as part of an expanded public access initiative.

The rooftop transformation is a significant component of a broader property-wide investment by Omni Hotels & Resorts. The renovations began in July 2025 and include updates to multiple public spaces such as the lobby, ballroom, and restaurants, covering a total of 37,500 square feet.

Ryan Gootee General Contractors LLC handled construction, while Farouki Farouki was responsible for redesigning the public spaces. The next major milestone will be the modernization of all 345 guest rooms and suites, slated for completion in early 2027.

This reinvestment in the landmark hotel is expected to influence the competitive landscape for downtown New Orleans hospitality, providing new revenue streams through food and beverage offerings and public access amenities.

Once completed, the renovation will impact occupancy and revenue forecasts, potentially boosting the property’s attractiveness to hotel owners, brokers, and investors focused on asset repositioning in the area.
