The new 7,500 square foot retail development set for the corner of State and Magazine Streets has kicked off construction, according to our friends at Uptown Messenger.
The new project by developers Brian Gibbs and Clay Cambre at 6001 Magazine St. will eventually house four retail spaces, including a coffee shop, which is rumored to be a Starbucks.
The new project will have 17 parking spaces and will stand 24 feet high. Three of the four spaces are already leased, which will include a juice or smoothie shop and a fitness studio.
Kirsten Early with SRSA Commercial Real Estate is handling all leasing.
Construction is expected to finish in October, with shop openings at the end of the year. MetroStudio is the architect of record.
