Verdad Real Estate of Southlake, Texas, and Retail Specialists of Birmingham, Alabama, are going to open up an shared office space in New Orleans. The office is going to be in the lower garden district.
Previously in 2009 the companies had offices at the old Western Union Telegraph Building on 334 Carondelet St.
The new location is on 1240 Camp St in a 8,000-square-foot building, according to property records. The building was purchased last month for $1.5 million.
The two firms handle real estate development and property management for assorted retailers seeking single tenant commercial space. Their clients are usually small shop like restaurants and convenient stores.
The renovation and demolition 250,000 project will start next week with Rogue Architects of Dallas and hope to be in office by December. They are planning on keeping some of the original architect of the 1925 building like the exposed bricks.

It would be nice if they restored the double hung windows that were ripped out in the previous renovation to install fixed glass.
