Despite months hopping over city hurdles and through regulations, Courtyard Brewery secured the final approval from the New Orleans City Council to open its brewhouse facility in the Lower Garden District.

Just last month, the nano-brewery got approval for outdoor seating from the City Planning Commission.

The brewery is to be located in a vacant warehouse at 1020 Erato St.

Courtyard Brewery will brew small batches of beer to sample on location in a small tap room with 10-12 beers.  The site will also feature a growler filling station, which will allow people to fill up large mugs of beer, seal them, and take them home for consumption at a later time.

As a nano-brewery, they would initially have a three-barrel brewing system.
