The Urban Land Institute (ULI) will hold its annual “What’s Really Going On?” conference in New Orleans tomorrow at the Westin Canal Place.

The conference features a panel discussing all of the development trends and projects under construction and planned for the immediate future throughout the city.  They also give out a really great document that contains the details on all these developments for you to take home.

The event’s feature guest speak is Anita Kramer, vice president of the ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate. Other speakers include GNO, Inc. CEO & President, Michael Hecht, and University of New Orleans Max Derbes III Professor in Real Estate, Dr. Ivan Miestchovich, Ph.D., CEcD.

The speakers will be followed by a panel of local industry experts discussing the greater New Orleans market, its current challenges, and future potential.  The panel includes Tara Carter Hernandez, President of JCH Development, Townsend Underhill, Senior Vice President of Development of Stirling Properties, Tom Leonhard, Jr. President and COO of HRI Properties, David McDonnel, Vice President of Estimating for the McDonnel Group, and Angela O’Byrne, President of Perez, Inc.
