The project is being developed privately by RCR Claiborne Venture, LLC, part of the Robért Fresh Market family, and Tulane University may operate the residential portion if final agreements are reached. The site spans a block bordered by S. Claiborne, S. Miro, and Calhoun Streets. Notably, the development will offer temporary arrangements for Ted’s Frostop during construction, integrating the local diner into the new building.
Despite the announcement, several details remain unconfirmed, including the finalization of the agreement between Tulane and RCR, as well as financing specifics. The development promises to impact the local housing supply, reflecting private investment in the area adjacent to Tulane’s campus.
