Tulane University has completed and opened its new, $55 million dining hall, The Commons.
The Commons is a brand new 3-story, 77,000 square foot building which, in addition to the new dining hall, also includes a multipurpose meeting space, over 1,000 seats for eating and studying, a demonstration kitchen, and a permanent home for the Newcomb College Institute.
The third floor of The Commons features an open-air courtyard, an area for archives and special collections, a library with a reading room, an event space and offices for the Newcomb Alumnae Association.
