Cult eyewear brand Warby Parker is finally coming to New Orleans!

The company filed plans with the city to renovate the vacant building at 3964 Magazine Street into one of their Frame Studio retail concepts.  This will be the company’s first location in Louisiana.

Warby Parker’s primarily online ecommerce operation allowed them to keep costs low from the beginning, but they’ve recently ventured into brick-and-mortar locations for the past few years with significant success.

They opened their first physical showroom in SoHo in 2012, and have since expanded to Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, and Boston.

The company is hiring in New Orleans, with several job openings for opticians and “frame studio” photographers.

Warby Parker is an American brand of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses founded in 2010. Warby Parker sells online and has a limited number of showrooms in the United States. By designing glasses in-house and selling only directly to consumers, the company lowers the cost of its glasses by a significant amount.
