Young Aspirations/Young Artists Inc. announced it will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 3, for the new YAYA Arts Center that will open at 3322 LaSalle Street in 2015.
The ceremony is open to the public and will take place at 10:30 a.m. at 3322 LaSalle Street, the location of the new YAYA Arts Center.
The new center will offer state-of-the-art artistic resources and programming for Central City residents of all ages, a fully-equipped hot glass studio, open to the public for rentals, demonstrations, and workshops, and will serve as the headquarters for the organization.
The center will also act as a supportive partner for area schools encountering new challenges in an evolving educational landscape and as a safe space and creative community center for Central City youth.
