Denver-based Stonebridge Companies has acquired the 280-room Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans Convention Center hotel in partnership with an affiliate of Chicago-private equity firm Walton Street Capital LLC.
The acquisition is the Stonebridge Companies’ entrance into the New Orleans market. The purchase was recorded in November 2018, according to city records.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton at 315 Julia Street has a fitness center, pool, restaurant, a business center and more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Stonebridge plans to renovate the property, although no plans or timeline were available.
Founded in 1991, Stonebridge has 60 hotels, over 7,000 guest rooms, and employs 3,000 associates, according to its website.
