9 Story, Multi-Million Dollar “Canal Crossing” Development Proposed For Canal Street

Provident Realty has filed plans with the city for Canal Crossing Apartments, a nine (9) story luxury apartment building at 1551 Canal Street.

Based on the renderings and plans filed with the city, 1551 Canal would feature a pool, fitness center, roof top “pet park”, a 10,000 square foot courtyard, and a 20,000 square foot garage.  The units will all feature balconies.

The project is one block over from the Jung Hotel development.

The architects on the project are Mathes Brierre Architects and Wallace Garcia Wilson Architects.

The lot is currently owned by the Coleman Family.

The group is set to go in front of the Design Advisory Committee to discuss the storm water runoff management December 17, 2015.
