New Orleans restaurateur Adolfo Garcia has purchased a building on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard for his next venture, reports Uptown Messenger.
Garcia and partners bought the former child care center at 1800 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard in June, with plans to convert its first floor into a restaurant.
The restaurant will be 3,000+ square feet with at least 6 off-street parking spaces (and perhaps more).
“We think that bringing another restaurant into the neighborhood is going to bring some foot traffic into the neighborhood,” Garcia told Uptown Messenger.
Garcia isn’t quite yet ready to disclose what kind of restaurant he will open, but he is pumped about the location and the fact that it’s near the new Southern Food and Beverage Museum at 1504 O.C. Haley, the new New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and the Jack & Jake’s supermarket at the former Myrtle Banks School.
