The Esplanade Mall in Kenner has either been sold, or is about to be sold, depending on who you ask.
An article in WGNO claimed that the mall was already sold, while an Advocate article says its about to be sold.
Either way, it looks like the mall will be the domain of California-based Pacific Retail, who purchased (or is about to purchase) the property from Simon Property Group, one of the biggest mall owners in the US.
Pacific Retail owns and manages nine shopping centers in seven states.
The Esplanade Mall is anchored by Macy’s Dillard’s, and Target. It was built in 1983 by Cadillac Fairview.
