The Urban Land Institute’s 8th Annual “What’s Really Going On” Conference is today, and you should probably be there.  This discussion gives a great overview of all the development and happenings going on in the New Orleans area.

The featured speakers include Dean Schwanke, ULI Senior Vice President for Case Studies and Publications; Loren Scott, of Loren C. Scott & Associates, who will discuss his economic forecast for Louisiana, and then a local panel of real estate experts will discuss current issues vital to the real estate industry in the Greater New Orleans area: “Managing Growth in New Orleans’ Urban Core.”  As more people invest in New Orleans’ high growth neighborhoods, panelists will discuss how development is shaping policy on long-term initiatives, including: affordable housing, transportation, preservation, and sustainability.
