A new motorcycle-influenced Bed and Breakfast and breakfast and brunch restaurant called StarBike Cafe is opening uptown at 4737 Tchoupitoulas Street.

Motorcycle enthusiast and developer Amanda Frank is turning the old McKeown’s Books site in to a new bed and breakfast. According to Eater, the StarBike name comes from the first bike shr purchased 24 years ago, a 1973 Honda CB750.  A mural of the bike was painted on an exterior wall of the property.

The new cafe will be open 7am to 5pm and will feature locally sourced food, according to the Starbike facebook page.   The project will also feature 4 rental units, made up of 3 two bedroom units and one studio unit.  The photos of the rooms look beautiful.

Can’t wait for it to open.  Stay tuned for more info!
