This schedule includes a virtual tax workshop on October 27, a public panel on entrepreneurship at the New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute on November 10, and the highlight R:3 competition at The Shop at the Contemporary Arts Center on November 17. The competition specifically targets innovations in maritime, transportation, and logistics, sectors integral to the New Orleans economy.
Partners such as Startup Noir NOLA, Wegmann Dazet CPAs, The Idea Village, and Tulane University’s Innovation Institute are involved. The deadline for applications to participate in the R:3 competition has been extended to October 27. This array of events will bring together entrepreneurs and industry leaders, emphasizing StartupNOLA’s role in fostering local startup ecosystems.
Additionally, the initiative participates in Global Entrepreneurship Week from November 16-22 and wraps up with an ecosystem holiday party at Barrel Proof on December 1. These events not only highlight the vibrancy of New Orleans as a hub for innovation but also underscore the potential for increasing demand in the commercial real estate sector.
With these planned activities, StartupNOLA aims to connect startups to capital and potential spaces, drawing in industry partners who may influence future development strategies. This focus on maritime and logistics solutions holds particular relevance for CRE professionals, as it is closely linked with industrial and port-adjacent real estate.
