Metairie-based hospitality management company J Collection, owned by investor Joe Jaeger, has added a new hotel in its portfolio, Mansion Dunleith in Natchez, Mississippi.
Dunleith is an antebellum mansion at 84 Homochitto Street in Natchez. Built in 1855, it is Mississippi’s only surviving example of a plantation house with a fully encircling colonnade of Greek Revival columns, a form once seen much more frequently than today.
United Mississippi Bank had foreclosed on Dunleith earlier this year before selling it to J Collection. The property features 40 acres of land, an event facility, and a dozen rooms. J Collection will reopen it as a hotel, restaurant, and event venue.
The J Collection has 18 hotels in New Orleans and throughout southeast Louisiana, including the recently added Le Richelieu in the New Orleans French Quarter.
