Children’s Hospital has filed plans for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital at its uptown campus.

The new behavioral health hospital will be five stories tall over 80,000 square feet, and will feature an out patient clinic, nursing units, and an outdoor children’s play area.  The building will have 50 beds.

The new hospital is part of its $300 million expansion efforts at the site of the former New Orleans Adolescent Hospital campus.  The expansion also includes Hogs House, a new parking garage, and more health facilities.

Fernandez + John Architecture is the architect, and Alphonse Barcia III is the landscape architect.
