Baton Rouge-based architecture and design firm GraceHebert Architects has acquired New Orleans-based HMS Architects, the parties announced last month. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition will increase the firm’s size to 40 employees, with plans to continue staffing up in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
GraceHebert Architects was founded in 1967, and offers architecture, interior architectural design, programming, and master planning to clients throughout the Gulf South. They were an early adopter of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create state-of-the-art 3-D models of ongoing projects.
HMS Architects, founded in 1996, offered a full range of architectural services with a focus has been in the performing arts, hospitality, education, and industrial design.
