The Rault BuildingLast week, Kingfish Development closed on the purchase of the 133,312 square foot, five story glass Rault Building at 2400 Veterans Blvd., the only Class A office building in Kenner.

Built in 1982, the property is currently 80% leased with approximately 25,000 square feet available for lease. Kingfish Development is the same group that bought and revitalized the Chevron Building in downtown New Orleans (now known as the Exchange Center).

“We are excited to add this property to our real estate portfolio and our first priority is to freshen up the best office building in Kenner with Class A finishes. We have made a long-term commitment to the City of Kenner and Jefferson Parish and we are excited to provide Class A office space to our current and future tenants,” said Hugh Uhalt, Principal of Kingfish Development II, L.L.C.

Kingfish Development II, L.L.C. will manage 2400 Veterans Blvd and the leasing will be managed by Joe Gorman, CCIM of Max J. Derbes, Inc.

In 2010 Uhalt, Steven O. Medo III, and their partners purchased the vacant 380,000 square foot twenty-one story office tower (formerly Chevron’s Gulf South Headquarters) and in three years have brought the once vacant building to 80% occupancy.
